General Hospital fans, brace yourselves—Chad Duell is stepping away from the show. The actor took to Instagram to share the emotional news, explaining that while the decision wasn’t easy, he feels it’s the right time.
Duell has portrayed Michael Corinthos since April 20, 2010, taking over from Drew Garrett. Interestingly, Duell originally auditioned for the role in 2009, but Garrett was cast. A year later, when Garrett’s contract expired, Duell stepped into the role and has been a fan favorite ever since.
In his heartfelt post, Chad expressed gratitude to Executive Producer Frank Valentini, the GH cast, crew, and fans, acknowledging their support throughout his journey. He reassured viewers that this isn’t goodbye, signing off with:
"This isn’t a goodbye—it’s a see you later. Much love, Chad."
