CBS’s upcoming soap Beyond The Gates celebrated its ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, October 30, in Atlanta, Georgia, bringing together cast, crew, and executive team members for this exciting milestone. Created and led by Michele Val Jean, with a production team featuring Sheila Ducksworth, Robert Guza Jr., Julie Carruthers, and others, the series promises a fresh look at complex characters and riveting storylines.

The show’s cast boasts a talented lineup, each playing unique roles that explore family dynamics, ambition, and hidden agendas. Key characters include:

• Ted Richardson (Maurice Johnson), a top plastic surgeon with an exclusive practice, married to Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson.

• Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), Ted’s son, a gay congressman based in Washington, D.C.

• Kat Richardson (Colby Muhammad), Ted’s spoiled daughter living in the family’s guest house.

• Andre Hamilton (Sean Freeman), Ted’s nephew and a photographer, who inherited a fortune.

• Bill Hamilton (Timon Durrett), an opportunistic father to Naomi and Chelsea, and ex-husband of Dani Dupree.

• Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit), a civil attorney living outside “the gates.”

• Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla), a high-fashion model and influencer.

• Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings), a paralegal engaged to Bill Hamilton.

New cast additions announced include:

• Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), a former senator and the Dupree family patriarch.

• Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges), Naomi’s detective husband.

• Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning), Martin’s husband and former journalist.

• Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob), a resilient nurse and best friend to Naomi.

• Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin), a courageous firefighter.

• Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli), a real estate agency owner in a troubled marriage.

• Tomas “Tom” Navarro (Alex Alegria), an attorney with a keen eye for Kat Richardson.

Beyond The Gates begins filming on November 1, with a premiere date set for January 2025. With its star-studded cast and compelling themes, the show is poised to be a refreshing addition to CBS's daytime lineup.
