Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) is losing blood from a gunshot wound, and time is not on his side. Trapped in the gallery storeroom, he confesses to Ava Jerome (Maura West), which leaves her in shock. He may confess that he's not Baby Phoebe's biological father.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) continues to battle for her life due to WSB Agent Harker (Matt Merchant) receiving orders to eliminate her. Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) might arrive just in time to assist, having pledged to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) that he would save them, which could explain Carly's shock.

Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) struggles with the heartbreaking reality facing James West (Gary James Fuller). James knows the man he believed was his father is leaving, even if he doesn't understand the full story. Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) offers Cody support as they both worry about the emotional toll this will take on the young boy.

At Anna Devane's (Finola Hughes) clinic in France, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Scorpio) confirms Anna's suspicions about Cassius Faison posing as Nathan West were correct all along. Anna is grateful Felicia trusted her instincts and continued investigating instead of dismissing the unbelievable theory.
