Watchers of The Bold and the Beautiful may have noticed that Liam Spencer sported stitches above his eyebrow during recent episodes. Now, Scott Clifton is revealing the frightening real-life incident that led to the visible injury.

Taking to Instagram, Clifton shared a candid and graphic explanation of what happened, warning followers that the post included disturbing photos of the aftermath. "Some of you may have noticed the stitches above Liam's eyebrows in Friday's and yesterday's episodes of Bold and Beautiful," Clifton wrote. "Well, sometimes life imitates art, and Liam no longer enjoys the monopoly on head trauma."

According to Clifton, the accident occurred after an incredibly stressful day involving a health-related crisis with his 81-year-old mother. Thankfully, he assured fans that "everyone's fine."

Unable to sleep that night, Clifton got up to use the bathroom when he suddenly realized he was about to faint. "That's the last thing I remember," he recalled. The actor later woke up partially inside his bathtub, surrounded by blood and suffering from a severe headache. "I noticed the giant hole in my face," Clifton admitted.

Clifton was rushed to the emergency room, where doctors performed scans, stitched up the wound, and diagnosed him with a concussion. Medical professionals also warned him that he could experience temporary memory loss and cognitive sluggishness during his recovery. Despite the frightening ordeal, Clifton praised the Bold and the Beautiful production team for their compassion and support. "When our phenomenal producers got word a few hours later, they told me to stay home and rest while they rewrote the scenes to be taped the following week," he shared.

The Emmy winner also revealed that cast and crew members reached out with messages of concern and encouragement. "The next day my phone was flooded with the most loving and concerned texts from the cast and crew," Clifton wrote. "I am so sickeningly lucky to be a part of this team, this family, this wholly benevolent daytime empire."

He concluded his heartfelt message by thanking everyone involved with the CBS soap, including the makeup department, the on-site medic, producers, directors, and co-star Darin Brooks "for putting up with this newfound ugly mug."
