On Wednesday, August 14th, Jacqueline Grace Lopez announced her GH exit on Instagram, citing that her character's breakup with Kristina was her last that fans saw on screen during the prior day’s episode,revealing that her character’s breakup with Kristina during the previous day’s episode was her last. Lopez expressed her surprise at the turn of events, hinting that her departure may not have been anticipated. Fans were left buzzing.

On Monday evening, August 26, the breaking news came that Kelly Monaco, of 21 years, is out at General Hospital (see article for details). Reports indicate that Monaco was 'blindsided' by the decision.
