At a recent BBTV launch event on March 26, longtime leading lady Katherine Kelly Lang opened up to US Weekly about her future as Brooke Logan—and her confidence in staying power. “I never, ever think they’re gonna kill me off,” Lang shared. “I just don’t think that would happen. But it could, you never know.”

Since the show’s debut in 1987, Lang has been the face of Brooke Logan, becoming one of daytime television’s most enduring heroines. And clearly, she’s not slowing down anytime soon. “I just love what I do,” she added. “And I’m still having the best time.”

Meanwhile, her on-screen counterpart, John McCook, had a slightly more humorous take on his longevity as Eric Forrester. “They’ve tried killing me off a couple of times in the last five years,” McCook revealed. “It just doesn’t work.”

After nearly 40 years, both actors remain central to the DNA of The Bold and the Beautiful, with their characters continuing to drive major storylines and anchor the Forrester and Logan families.
