B&B’s Don Diamont Celebrates Charlie’s Angels 50th Anniversary With an Incredible Farrah Fawcett Memory
The Bold and the Beautiful star Don Diamont has spent decades entertaining daytime viewers as the larger-than-life Bill Spencer, but long before he became “Dollar Bill,” he was a 14-year-old kid who unexpectedly found himself hitting tennis balls with one of the biggest stars of the 1970s.
Diamont recently shared a treasured Polaroid of himself with the late Farrah Fawcett while celebrating the 50th anniversary of Charlie’s Angels. The anniversary has been getting plenty of attention this week, with original stars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson joining Cheryl Ladd at the 2026 Emmy Awards to honor the series — and remember Fawcett.

Don Diamont Remembers the Day Farrah Fawcett Walked In
According to Diamont’s Instagram post, the unforgettable encounter happened in 1976 when he was just 14 years old and a competitive junior tennis player.
Diamont explained that he was training at The Tennis Station in Sherman Oaks, California, and was there one weekend with his parents and brother when none other than Fawcett walked through the door.
At the time, Fawcett was at the height of her fame. Charlie’s Angels premiered in September 1976 with Fawcett starring as Jill Munroe alongside Kate Jackson’s Sabrina Duncan and Jaclyn Smith’s Kelly Garrett.
Her famous red swimsuit poster also became one of the defining pop-culture images of the era.
Fawcett had apparently come to practice using the tennis facility’s ball machine. Young Diamont had another idea: Why hit against a machine when she could hit with him?
So he asked.
And amazingly, Fawcett said yes.
A 14-Year-Old Don Diamont Hits With Farrah Fawcett
Diamont recalled being particularly thrilled because Fawcett’s famous red-swimsuit poster was already hanging on his bedroom wall — right alongside his Lynda Carter Wonder Woman poster.
After their tennis session, Diamont’s brother happened to have a Polaroid camera in his car and captured the moment.
Even better, Fawcett signed the photograph.
Looking back at his teenage pose in the picture, Diamont joked that he was giving his best 14-year-old “I’m cool” look despite the enormous excitement of meeting her.
For Diamont, however, the lasting memory wasn’t simply that he had met one of the most famous women in the world. He remembered how warmly Fawcett treated him and his family, writing that she “couldn’t have been sweeter.”
He ended his remembrance with a simple tribute: “RIP Farrah!”
From Teenage Tennis Player to Daytime Star
Of course, that 14-year-old tennis player eventually became a television star himself.
Diamont first entered daytime television on Days of Our Lives before becoming Brad Carlton on The Young and the Restless. He currently stars as Bill Spencer Jr. on The Bold and the Beautiful, a role he has played since 2009. CBS notes that Diamont made history in 1990 as the first daytime-drama actor selected for PEOPLE’s “50 Most Beautiful” issue.
More than 40 years into his soap career, Diamont still has that Polaroid from a completely different chapter of his life.
And considering Fawcett died in 2009 at age 62, the photograph has become far more than a celebrity snapshot.
