B&B’s Tanner Novlan Saddles Up With Kristin Cavallari for Roku’s Cowboy Hearts
The Bold and the Beautiful fans will soon get to see Tanner Novlan trade the halls of Forrester Creations for cowboy country.
B&B’s Tanner Novlan Saddles Up With Kristin Cavallari for Roku’s Cowboy Hearts
Novlan, best known to daytime viewers as Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan on The Bold and the Beautiful, is set to star alongside reality television personality Kristin Cavallari in the upcoming Roku Channel romantic movie Cowboy Hearts.
And judging by the premise, there could be plenty of sparks once these two meet.
Cavallari stars as a “no-nonsense” reality TV producer who is sent to Georgia to oversee the reboot of a once-popular dating show called Cowboy Hearts. She arrives expecting to deal with plenty of behind-the-scenes drama while keeping the production on track.
What she apparently doesn’t expect is to find herself developing feelings for the cowboy at the center of the show.
With the cameras rolling and her job potentially on the line, Cavallari’s character will have to decide whether falling in love is worth tossing the script aside and risking everything she came to Georgia to accomplish.
For B&B viewers, the movie offers a chance to see Novlan outside the role he's played since 2020. As Finn, Novlan has spent years dealing with everything from complicated family drama and Sheila Carter chaos to his often-turbulent romance with Steffy Forrester.
Now he'll be stepping into a very different kind of romantic drama.
COWBOY HEARTS COMES TO ROKU
Cowboy Hearts is produced by Fox Entertainment Studios and is directed by Traci Hays from a screenplay written by Paris Herbert-Taylor.
Executive producers include Ashley Squires, Jessica Bahowich, Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer and Fernando Szew.
The project also marks the first Fox-produced movie for Roku following Fox's acquisition of Roku earlier this year.
No exact premiere date has been announced yet, but Cowboy Hearts is expected to arrive on The Roku Channel in 2027.
For soap fans who are accustomed to seeing Tanner Novlan caught in the middle of complicated relationships in Los Angeles, watching him play a cowboy in a reality-show romance should certainly be a change of pace.
And there is one question B&B fans will probably be asking once the movie arrives:
Can Tanner Novlan make viewers fall for his cowboy character just as hard as they fell for Finn?
