Nicole bumps into Leslie, whom she still believes is “Sherri.” Leslie hints that their rooftop talk gave her a new purpose, intriguing yet making Nicole cautious.
Eva observes her mother nearby and diverts Ted's attention. After Leslie departs, Eva and Ted join Nicole. Ted's enthusiasm makes a favorable impression on Nicole until he proposes canceling the event in favor of a trip to St. Bart's. Although tempted, Nicole declines, citing that it is too late for such a change.
In Uptown, Joey sits down with Vanessa and says he's bummed that their house-hunting is over. He suggests they keep teaming up by diving into some real estate lessons together, and Vanessa is all for it.
Andre pitches a documentary idea to Doug, who isn't interested. Doug admits he misses the excitement of surgery. Andre finds a lotto ticket and gives it to Doug, who wins $50K but then loses it all.
Leslie teases Nicole, snatches off her wig, and starts talking about her "biggest purpose ever." Eva catches this, accuses Leslie of being fake, and calls her a compulsive liar while waving the wig around. Leslie insists she's not lying.

Nicole is done playing nice, and she starts asking the right questions about Laura’s mysterious setbacks in recovery.
Doug is committed to overcoming his gambling challenges. Despite winning $50,000 on a scratch ticket during the April 23 episode, which provided an ideal opportunity to settle his debt with the dubious casino owner Joey Armstrong, he unfortunately chose to gamble the entire amount on a horse race and lost everything.
Joey is targeting Vanessa's real estate firm for money laundering, not legitimate business. He initially exploits Doug's gambling problem as part of his plan. As Doug's situation deteriorates, Vanessa becomes more vulnerable. Joey might bypass Doug entirely, using charm and promises to involve Vanessa directly.
