Nicole puts her foot in her mouth on Monday. Exactly what she says—and who hears it—remains to be seen, but Nicole's accidental comment could create an awkward situation. In Fairmont Crest, one careless remark can quickly become everybody's business.
Hayley has another trick up her sleeve, while Bill is sideswiped. Could Hayley uncover something to use as leverage against Bill? Blackmail is one possibility if she believes she can pressure him away from the attempted murder case. If she gets something on him, Hayley might want more than freedom. Money, protection, a favorable divorce settlement, or preventing Bill from ending their marriage are options. Whatever Hayley plans, Bill may find removing her from his life won't be as easy as he hoped.
Kat faces a crisis and seeks support from Izaiah. Her relationship with Tomas is strained after she confronted him for agreeing to represent Hayley, unaware he had already dropped her as a client. Tomas was upset by Kat's assumptions, revealing deeper trust issues. Kat now needs someone to confide in. Izaiah could become that confidant, offering support, but their growing friendship might lead to new complications.
Smitty has problems of his own. With troubling evidence reportedly surfacing in connection with Lia Whitmore's investigation, Smitty starts worrying that Jacob is deliberately keeping his distance. Jacob's position makes the situation especially complicated. As a police officer, he may not want anyone thinking he's giving Smitty special treatment simply because they're friends and family. But Smitty may not see it that way.
Ashley and Shanice face some professional challenges as they settle into their new roles at the hospital. Their new responsibilities may not go as smoothly as expected, but neither woman is likely to give up at the first sign of trouble. Expect some workplace drama as Ashley and Shanice figure out how to handle the obstacles being thrown their way.
