Believing Deanna has an ulterior motive, Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) orders Randy to get close to her and find out exactly what she's planning. Randy reconnects with Deanna under the guise of an old friendship, but gathering information may prove more difficult than expected. Deanna has plans of her own, and she's determined to expose Joey's criminal empire.

Anita Dupree's (Tamara Tunie) loved ones will stand firmly by her side as she learns the results of her lumpectomy. Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), Nicole Dupree (Daphnee Duplaix), and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) anxiously await the doctor's update, hoping Anita will finally receive the news she's been praying for. Although everyone is optimistic, there's still plenty of anxiety.

Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) is there for Kat Richardson (Colby Nixon) to offer a listening ear and some honest advice. Chelsea will likely reassure her cousin that she shouldn't feel pressured into taking such a huge step before she's ready, especially after Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria) blindsided her with such a public proposal.

Deanna recently revealed she wants to join Vanessa McBride's (Lauren Buglioli) real estate business, and that development immediately set off alarm bells for Joey. Knowing Deanna could uncover his money-laundering operation, Joey quickly decides to make changes to his business arrangement with Vanessa.

Elsewhere, Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) continues recovering from her injuries and surgery with Izaiah Hawthorne (Lami) by her side. Their quiet recovery is interrupted when an unexpected guest arrives.
