While at Brooke’s alone, Liam confided in Hope about how much their family time with Beth means to him—not just for their daughter, but for him personally. “I know what I want for the rest of my life,” he gently expressed, “and who I want to spend it with.”
Sitting together, Liam recalled the moment when Hope thought he was “dying”—a scare about a brain tumor that was ultimately unfounded, yet the emotions it stirred were very real. He reminded her of her promise to stay with him till the bitter end.
Hope reassured him of her enduring love, prompting Liam to express his feelings: “Every day without you feels wasted. I’ve put you through a lot, I know that. All I can do is promise that you’ll never have to doubt my commitment again.”
Then, in a scene reminiscent of a soap opera fantasy, Liam presented an engagement ring. “How about you say ‘yes’ and instantly make me the happiest man on earth?”
“Thank you for giving me the chance to be your husband again,” he said to her, showing that despite all the heartbreak, they still believe in second (or fourth!) chances.
