A deeply personal and concerning situation has emerged involving former General Hospital and Days of Our Lives star Brandon Barash and his ex-wife, Kirsten Storms, best known to fans as Maxie Jones on General Hospital.
Brandon Barash Files Restraining Order Against Kirsten Storms Amid Mental Health Concerns
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Barash was granted an emergency restraining order against Storms after raising serious concerns about her mental health and the well-being of their 12-year-old daughter.
Barash alleges that between September 2024 and June 2025, Storms did not maintain a stable residence, instead moving between hotels and staying with friends. He claims she frequently changed locations due to fears that people were “following her and the child,” raising alarm about her state of mind.
The situation reportedly escalated on May 19, 2025, when Storms allegedly reached out to Barash and admitted she was experiencing “delusions and hallucinations.” According to the filing, she expressed concern about her ability to care for their daughter during her scheduled parenting time.
Barash states that he, along with his current wife, Isabella Devoto, helped Storms seek medical assistance, which resulted in her being placed on a psychiatric hold. However, he claims that following her release, Storms behaved as though the incident had not occurred, further fueling his concerns.
As a result, Barash petitioned the court not only for a restraining order but also for Storms to undergo a mental health evaluation. At this time, it remains unclear whether that evaluation has been completed.
For now, the court has ordered that Storms’ visitation with their daughter be supervised, with a follow-up hearing scheduled this week to reassess the status of the restraining order and custody arrangements.
Barash and Storms were married in June 2013 and finalized their divorce in April 2016. Despite their separation, the two have remained connected through co-parenting their daughter.
In recent years, Barash has moved forward personally, marrying Isabella Devoto in December 2022. The couple shares a young son and is currently expecting a daughter, a milestone they recently shared with fans on social media.
