BREAKING: Paige Herschell OUT at General Hospital
Paige Herschell has exited General Hospital after more than a year in the role of Jacinda, with Soap Opera Digest confirming that the actress has left the ABC soap and that her character’s departure was dictated by storyline.
Herschell made her GH debut as Jacinda on April 23, 2025, initially sharing scenes with Councilman Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) at the Metro Court Hotel. What began as an intriguing new addition to Port Charles eventually developed into a much larger storyline, particularly once Jacinda became romantically involved with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
Jacinda Crossed a Line She Couldn't Come Back From
Jacinda's downfall came fast — and ultimately cost her both Michael and her place in Port Charles.
After Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) obtained a restraining order against her, Jacinda decided to retaliate in a spectacularly reckless way: she secretly spiked Willow's coffee with ecstasy. The stunt could have had devastating consequences.
Michael intercepted a heavily intoxicated Willow before she could drive away with their children. Once he learned Jacinda was responsible for drugging the mother of his kids, there was no talking her way out of it.
For Michael, Jacinda had crossed an unforgivable line.
Michael Dumps Jacinda — And Orders Her Out of Port Charles
Michael ended their relationship and made it clear that Jacinda needed to leave town. The potential consequences were enormous. Beyond the obvious danger to Willow, Jacinda's actions threatened to create another legal and custody nightmare involving Michael's children. Rather than risk the situation spiraling even further, Michael arranged for Jacinda to disappear from their lives.
He opened a bank account to provide money for her relocation, and an emotional Jacinda ultimately agreed to pack her bags and leave Port Charles.
The August 11 episode set Jacinda's departure in motion.
Are you disappointed to see Paige Herschell and Jacinda leave General Hospital? Did GH make a mistake writing Jacinda into this corner, or was drugging Willow simply a line she could never come back from?
BIG mistake. Jacinda was a great character. Paige knocked it out of the park, and I thought we'd have a lot of entertaining stories about her and Willow basically trying to destroy each other.
