In an exclusive interview with The TV Water Cooler, Hall revealed that she recently completed filming a secret guest role on a Star Trek television series — believed to be Paramount+’s hit prequel, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which is expected to return for its fourth season in 2026.
“I was just there! I was up there doing Star Trek. I love Toronto,” Hall shared enthusiastically, referencing the city where Strange New Worlds and Starfleet Academy are filmed.
Deidre Hall’s Mysterious Role
When asked for details about her character, Hall playfully teased fans:
“Ask me what I play on Star Trek… It’s not who, it’s what!”
The big reveal? Hall will play a psychiatrist — a perfect nod to her iconic daytime role as Dr. Marlena Evans, the compassionate and wise therapist who has guided Salem’s residents through love, trauma, and demonic possession alike!
Given Strange New Worlds’ emotional depth and its focus on Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) — who carries the knowledge of his tragic destiny — Hall’s psychiatrist character could bring a profound psychological element to the crew of the USS Enterprise.
