Expecting to be named the new CEO, Gabi strutted into Tony’s (Thaao Penghlis) office with confidence — but she quickly learned the rug was being pulled right out from under her.

Tony wasted no time laying out the truth: Gabi violated the morals clause in her contract when she took the witness stand at Johnny’s trial, admitting she came to the DiMera mansion with a gun the night EJ was shot. “You can’t threaten a member of my family,” Tony said coolly, “and then expect to run the family company.”
Gabi fired back, reminding Tony that she risked everything to expose Philip’s fraud — feeding him inside information to help secure DiMera’s future. But Tony didn’t budge. “You did that for yourself,” he replied, offering her a consolation prize instead: if she walks away quietly, she can reclaim Gabi Chic.
When Gabi asked if Tony was stepping into the CEO role himself, he surprised her with a smirk — and in walked Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson). Gabi was stunned. “You can’t be serious,” she exclaimed, only for Theo to ask if her objection was because he’s autistic. Gabi quickly clarified it was about experience, but Tony reassured them both: “Theo will have an excellent mentor in me.”
In the end, Gabi accepted the deal, though not without one last pointed remark. Theo, standing tall and composed, told her, “Don’t be surprised if I surprise you. I’m used to being underestimated.”
As Gabi exited, visibly seething, she asked Theo if he really trusted Tony. Theo’s calm reply said it all: “I can handle myself.”
