Emotions ran high in Salem as Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) faced the fallout of his secret relationship with Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) — and the confrontation with his son Thomas (Cary Christopher) was nothing short of explosive.
Days Recap, October 6th, 2025: Chad Loses Thomas’s Trust
Thomas Confronts Chad
The truth finally came out, and Thomas was furious. He lashed out at his father for lying about his relationship with Cat, demanding to know why Chad kept it from him and Charlotte.
Chad tried to explain that he and Cat started as friends but that their bond deepened into something more. He admitted that he should’ve told the kids sooner, but he wanted to be certain of his feelings first.
That explanation didn’t sit well with Thomas, who fired back that he used to like Cat — until now.
When Chad pressed him on where he heard the rumors, Thomas dropped a bomb: “Rachel told me.”
Thomas accused Cat of pretending to be his mother, Abigail, and said he couldn’t understand how Chad could forgive her or even want her in his life after that deception.
Chad’s Guilt and Thomas’s Rebellion
Chad did his best to apologize, insisting there would be no more secrets between them, but Thomas wasn’t having it. He declared that Cat turned his father into a liar and stormed off — right into Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) arms.
Jennifer vs. Chad
When Jennifer heard the truth, she was livid. She demanded to know what possessed Chad to get romantically involved with a woman who once pretended to be his dead wife.
Jennifer’s fury was blistering — calling Chad’s decision “unthinkable” and asking how he expected Thomas to process something so painful.
Chad, however, stood his ground — telling Jennifer that if she was finished lecturing him, he needed to go after his son.
Bottom Line
The DiMera household is in turmoil as Chad’s complicated love life threatens to destroy his bond with his children. With Thomas heartbroken, Jennifer outraged, and Cat at the center of it all, Chad may have crossed a line he can’t come back from.
