As first reported by veteran DAYS historian Jason47, the closing credits for the March 30 episode revealed that Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez) and Elia Cantu (Jada Hunter) have been removed from the contract cast list.

However, before fans panic, both actors are still very much part of the show.

What’s Changing?

Rather than exiting Salem, Gering and Cantu are now being listed under the recurring players section in the end credits. This typically means their characters will continue to appear, but not as frequently or with guaranteed storyline focus.

A Look Back at Their Runs

Galen Gering has been a staple of Days of Our Lives for well over a decade, first joining the NBC soap in October 2008 as Rafe Hernandez. Prior to that, he was well known to daytime audiences for his role as Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald on Passions from 1999 to 2008.

Elia Cantu, meanwhile, made her debut as Jada Hunter in July 2022 and quickly became intertwined in several major Salem storylines — including her high-profile relationship with Rafe.

What Does This Mean for Rafe & Jada?
