Finn Carr is mourning the heartbreaking loss of his grandfather, Frank Paul Carr Jr., and has shared an emotional tribute on Instagram that has touched the hearts of fans and followers alike.

In a deeply personal post, Finn honored his grandfather as “the greatest man” he had ever known, remembering him as the loving force that kept their family grounded and connected. “This is my grandpa, Frank Paul Carr Jr.,” Finn wrote. “He was the greatest man I’ve ever known. He loved his family above everything else and gave so generously, never expecting anything in return. His love was big and completely unconditional.”
Finn went on to describe his grandfather as steady, calming, rational, and incredibly intelligent — someone who could always make people laugh and whose stories never failed to entertain those around him.
He also shared some of the little things that made his grandfather so special, including his love for the San Francisco 49ers, World Class Chocolate ice cream, baking, golf, collecting coins and watches, and spending time with his beloved dog, Daisy.
“There will never be a day that I don’t think of him and miss him deeply,” Finn shared.
Perhaps the most touching part of Finn’s tribute was his description of the vital role his grandfather played within the family.
“He was the glue that held our family together — the first person everyone turned to when they needed help, advice, or comfort. If you needed him he would come no questions asked.”
Finn concluded the heartfelt message with a promise to continue making his grandfather proud every day.
“Rest easy, Grandpa. You did an amazing job, and your love will stay with us forever. I promise to make you proud every day for the rest of my days.”
Frank Paul Carr Jr. passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 77.
