Gabi's Secret Explodes As Ariana Learns The Truth About Liam
Liam meets Ariana for what he hopes will be one final goodbye. He admits he never wanted to leave Salem before sharing an emotional kiss with her. Unfortunately, the touching moment is interrupted when Gabi walks up and completely loses her composure.
"What the hell are you doing in Salem, kissing my daughter?" Gabi demands.
Ariana is stunned by her mother's reaction and immediately begins asking questions. It doesn't take long before she pieces everything together—Gabi secretly paid Liam to leave town. The revelation leaves Ariana furious.
Liam quickly steps in and tries to take responsibility, insisting Gabi only made the deal because she loves her daughter and wanted to protect her. But the damage has already been done. As the confrontation escalates, the truth about Holly's illness at the lake also comes to light. Hoping to regain control, Gabi urges Ariana to leave with her so they can talk privately. Ariana refuses.
Through tears, she tells her mother, "Never!" Just then, Aaron quietly takes Ariana's hand and leads her away, leaving Gabi heartbroken and furious.
With Ariana gone, Gabi unloads on Liam, angrily cursing him in Spanish and accusing him of destroying everything. "You blew our deal! You were never supposed to come back!" she shouts. Liam refuses to accept all the blame, firing back that Gabi herself is the real problem before walking away.
Moments later, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) arrives in Salem Square and recognizes Liam. Curious, she asks Gabi who he is. Gabi explains that Liam once helped set up the crypt used during the kidnapping of Kristen's family. She insists everything she's done has been about protecting Ariana from someone she believes is dangerous. Kristen can certainly relate, admitting that mothers will do just about anything to protect their daughters. Unfortunately for Gabi, her efforts may have cost her the very relationship she was trying so desperately to save.
Can Ariana ever forgive her mother, or has Gabi pushed her daughter away for good?
