General Hospital is adding a new face to Port Charles — and she’s heading straight into the legal world of Diane Miller and Alexis Davis.
General Hospital Casts Blythe Howard as New Port Charles Attorney Monet
According to TV Insider, actress Blythe Howard will make her General Hospital debut on Wednesday, September 23, playing Monet, a savvy attorney who could quickly find herself mixed up in some major Port Charles drama.
Monet arrives in town as a litigator who has recently joined Miller & Davis, the law firm run by Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). It won’t take long for her to get down to business, as Monet is set to meet with a Port Charles resident who needs legal counsel.
But it sounds like there may be much more to Monet’s arrival than another lawyer joining the firm.
Executive Producer Frank Valentini teased to TV Insider that Howard’s new character has a surprising tie to someone viewers already know and love.
“I am very excited to welcome Blythe Howard to the cast of General Hospital,” Valentini told the outlet. “Look for her to have an unexpected connection to a beloved Port Charles resident.”
Now that should get GH fans speculating.
Who Is Blythe Howard?
Born in Seattle, Washington, Howard grew up as an all-around athlete and initially pursued a very different career path. She studied broadcast journalism at Washington State University, but an unexpected opportunity helped steer her toward entertainment.
Howard won a nationwide contest that gave her the chance to serve as a guest VJ for a day on MTV’s hugely popular Total Request Live (TRL). The experience helped change the direction of her career.
Entertainment and professional sports also run in Howard’s family. She is the daughter of former Seattle Seahawks tight end Ron Howard and interior design entrepreneur Kim Kelly.
Howard’s journey has also included an extraordinary personal challenge. In 2022, she was diagnosed with cancer. While undergoing chemotherapy and active treatment, Howard continued pursuing her acting career, balancing treatment with auditions, time on set and professional bookings.
Now she is headed to Port Charles for her latest role.

Who Is Monet Connected To?
That may be the biggest question surrounding Howard’s debut.
With Monet joining Alexis and Diane at Miller & Davis, there are plenty of possibilities for how she could become involved in an existing storyline. However, Valentini specifically describing her connection as “unexpected” suggests GH may have a surprise waiting for viewers.
Is Monet simply representing someone viewers already know, or could her connection to a beloved Port Charles resident turn out to be much more personal?
Whatever the answer, Monet officially enters the Port Charles legal scene when Blythe Howard makes her General Hospital debut Wednesday, September 23.
