General Hospital Casts Soap Veteran Kelly Kruger As Serena Baldwin

According to TV Insider, soap opera veteran Kelly Kruger has joined the cast of General Hospital in the role of Serena Baldwin, the daughter of Scott Baldwin and Lucy Coe.

Kruger is no stranger to daytime television. The actress first made her mark on The Young and the Restless, where she portrayed Mackenzie Browning from 2002 to 2003 before reprising the role from 2018 to 2019. She also appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful as Eva, while building an impressive primetime resume that includes roles on Criminal Minds, Entourage, and several Hallmark films, including A Very Corgi Christmas.

The actress is thrilled to be making her debut in Port Charles. “I am so excited to be joining the show!” Kruger told TV Insider. “It’s a literal dream come true to finally get to work with Frank Valentini and Mark Teschner after all these years! Daytime has a very special place in my heart, and I have always wanted to work with the actors and writers on this show. I truly believe the level of talent and work they put out is the absolute best.”

Kruger begins filming on Monday, June 8, and viewers can expect to see Serena arrive on-screen in July.

The actress is already looking forward to introducing the beloved character to a new generation of fans. “I’m honored and excited to be stepping into this role,” Kruger enthused. “I cannot wait for the fans to meet Serena!”

General Hospital Executive Producer Frank Valentini also shared his excitement about the casting announcement. “I am excited to have Kelly Kruger join the cast of General Hospital,” Valentini said. “She’s a terrific actor and we look forward to working with her.”

Serena Baldwin has long been a familiar name to longtime General Hospital viewers, and her return could open the door to exciting new storylines involving the Baldwin and Coe families.
