In an exciting twist, General Hospital is set to cross over with the Broadway hit Disney’s Aladdin, bringing a splash of musical magic to daytime television. According to Entertainment Weekly, this special storyline will unfold across multiple episodes from late April into early May.
Gio and Emma’s NYC Adventure Begins
The journey kicks off on April 23, when Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and his girlfriend Emma (Braedyn Bruner) head to New York City for a memorable getaway. On the April 24 episode, the couple reunites with Gio’s old friend, Michael James Scott, who appears as himself. Known for his show-stopping portrayal of the Genie in Aladdin since 2019, Scott brings his real-life Broadway flair into the GH universe.
Broadway Magic Comes to Port Charles
The crossover doesn’t stop in the Big Apple. Scott will return the visit when he travels to Port Charles on the May 4 episode, turning the tables as Broadway meets daytime drama in a whole new way. Fans may also recognize him from the revived 10th season of Scrubs, where he currently appears as Nurse Dubois. Adding even more significance to this crossover, Scott is set to take his final bow as Genie in Aladdin on May 3—making his General Hospital appearance a timely and celebratory moment for both soap and Broadway fans alike.
