Wilson, who plays Dr. Isaiah Gannon on the ABC soap, shared a beautiful photo of himself holding his daughter as he marked seven weeks since her birth. The proud new dad reflected on the frightening beginning to her life and how far she has come since spending her first days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
“From the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) to 7 weeks old,” Wilson shared on Instagram in his post. He explained that his daughter spent her first five days in the NICU, an experience that understandably felt much longer to the new parents. Now, however, the family is getting the chance to enjoy watching their little girl grow.
Wilson shared that she continues to give them “new reasons to smile every day,” before celebrating her seven-week milestone with a heartfelt message of gratitude.
A Frightening Start for the New Family
Wilson and his wife, Anna Eilinsfeld, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Zelda, following a frightening delivery.
Wilson previously opened up about the experience, sharing that the birth required an emergency C-section and praising the medical team who cared for his wife and daughter. Zelda subsequently spent time in the NICU as doctors worked to stabilize her.
Thankfully, the latest update from the General Hospital actor is a much happier one.
Seven weeks later, Wilson's post shows a peaceful baby Zelda sleeping against her father's chest as he looks down at her. After such a difficult introduction to parenthood, it's an especially sweet milestone for the family.

Wilson has quickly become a familiar face to General Hospital viewers as Isaiah Gannon, but away from Port Charles, he's clearly enjoying an entirely different leading role: being Zelda's dad.
His latest update is a touching reminder of just how much can change in seven weeks—from those stressful first days in the NICU to celebrating a growing baby at home.
