Joss finds Emma in a dumpster, leading to an argument. Emma notices Joss's ankle, sparking another disagreement. Joss asks why Emma is angry, and Emma explains Joss's privilege. After a long conversation, they realize they envied each other. Emma questions her entry into Dalton's class. Joss insists she didn't request special treatment but will work hard.

Jason challenges Sasha regarding her decision to accept Sidwell's cash offer. Although Sasha is aware that Sidwell is dangerous, her mother influenced her. "Deception" could have led to losing everything, so she minimized his actions to protect them.

Natalia arrives at Deception and tells the women she hasn't been involved with her ex-husband for years. She froze upon seeing him and didn't act, as she doubted the deal would go through. Sonny shows up and is surprised to find Natalia there. The women end her contract. Although Sidwell is a necessary evil, they do not trust her. Natalia begs Sonny, but he supports the women. She can't believe he would betray her like that. "Business is business," he remarks. She leaves.

Kai informs Drew. Anticipate Kai agreeing to undergo surgery, which might lead to the former football player becoming involved in political issues through Drew.

Lucky offers Kristina some tough love. The guilt is intensifying for Kristina, and her struggle is becoming unbearable. Expect her to open up to Lucky about admitting her crime, though Lucky might remind her of the potential consequences.
