After learning Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) plans to let Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) take over as his criminal defense attorney, Carly issues a clear warning. Given her complicated history with Ric, Carly worries that Sonny could be making a serious mistake by trusting him.
Elsewhere, Ric and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) continue growing closer. As they spend more time together, the two begin discussing what their future might look like. Their relationship has been steadily building, and this conversation could determine whether they’re ready to take the next step together.
Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) takes a bold gamble when he interrogates Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) about the mysterious Five Poppies project. Trying to appear clueless, Brennan pretends he hasn’t been able to crack the case and pushes Cullum for answers. But the strategy could easily backfire.
Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) struggles with lingering emotions over Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) renewed connection with Jordan Ashford (Tanasha Harper). After Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) encourages her to stop dwelling on the past, Portia considers making a bold move to prove she’s ready to move forward.
Meanwhile, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) grows increasingly uneasy about Ric Lansing joining Sonny’s legal team. Although Ric insists he’s changed and is no longer the man he used to be, Alexis can’t help but worry that the situation could end badly.
