General Hospital fan favorite James Patrick Stuart, best known to GH viewers as Valentin Cassadine, is stepping into thriller territory with a role in the upcoming indie film Boot Lake.

According to Deadline, digital creator and filmmaker Christian Del Grosso has wrapped production on Boot Lake, which marks his feature directorial debut. The thriller also stars Willow Shields, Nikki Roumel, Sebastian Amoruso, Cathy Moriarty, D.B. Sweeney, Martin Kove, and Alexa PenaVega.

Set in a dark Tennessee lake town, Boot Lake follows a young woman who returns to her childhood home after discovering a diary connected to buried family memories, her mother’s death, and a mysterious inheritance. As secrets surface, paranoia grows, and the people around her may not be as trustworthy as they seem.

There is currently no release date announced for Boot Lake, but with Stuart joining such a loaded ensemble, GH fans will definitely want to keep this one on their radar.
