Brook Lynn Quartermaine may be playing nice with Willow for now, but General Hospital could be setting the stage for her Bensonhurst side to make a major comeback.
GH Theory: Will Brook Lynn Go Full Bensonhurst on Willow?
Brook Lynn was already uneasy after learning Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) had moved into the Quartermaine gatehouse. When she vented to Tracy (Jane Elliot), Brook Lynn admitted she feared Willow’s presence could create another crisis in her marriage to Chase (Josh Swickard). Tracy tried to reassure her that Brook Lynn and Chase were stronger now, but that confidence could soon be tested.
It certainly didn’t help that Brook Lynn later walked into the gatehouse and found Chase sharing a cozy moment with his ex-wife.
Willow had been frantic over Amelia’s (Sienna Goerisch) missing favorite stuffed animal, and Chase quickly came to the rescue by finding it in another box. It was an innocent moment, but from Brook Lynn’s perspective, it may have looked like Chase was slipping right back into protector mode with Willow.
Brook Lynn plastered on a smile, delivered her housewarming plant, and quickly got Chase out the door for their family time with Phoebe.
For now, Brook Lynn is keeping her jealousy under control. But how many more Chase-and-Willow moments can she tolerate?
Brook Lynn’s Bensonhurst Side Could Return
Brook Lynn has matured considerably, but she has never been someone who quietly sits back when she believes something—or someone—is threatening her family.
If Willow begins relying on Chase more frequently, Brook Lynn could decide it’s time to establish some serious boundaries.
And if Willow crosses one? That polished Quartermaine restraint could disappear quickly. Brook Lynn knows Chase has a compassionate heart, and that may be exactly what worries her. Chase doesn’t have to be romantically interested in Willow for trouble to begin. If he repeatedly rushes to Willow’s rescue, old feelings, jealousy, and misunderstandings could create plenty of tension.
The bigger question may be whether Willow actually wants Chase—or whether Brook Lynn’s fear of losing him causes her to see a threat that isn’t there.
Either way, Willow might want to tread carefully.
