During the June 28 episode of HBO's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, the Emmy-winning host surprised viewers by announcing that he has landed guest-starring roles on both long-running daytime dramas.
A Significant Role In Port Charles
According to ABC, Oliver has been cast in a significant guest role on General Hospital. While details surrounding his mysterious character remain tightly under wraps, viewers won't have to wait long to see him in action.

The comedian even shared a first-look photo from the set, showing himself surrounded by armed men in what appears to be a tense scene.
Laughing at his own dramatic transformation, Oliver joked:
"Yes, that is me, surrounded by men with guns, and yes, my hair has been dipped in an inkwell. And if you can't tell from my face there, I'm acting really hard."
Salem Is Calling, Too
As if one soap wasn't enough, Oliver also revealed that he has already completed filming a full week of episodes for Days of Our Lives.
He shared a behind-the-scenes photo featuring himself alongside Dan Feuerriegel, who plays EJ DiMera. Although Peacock has yet to announce an airdate for Oliver's Salem storyline, the reveal has already generated plenty of excitement among soap fans.
