Days of Our Lives actress Kennedy Garcia is receiving a major honor for the impact she has made both on-screen and off.

Garcia, who has played Felicity Greene on the Peacock soap since 2024, will receive the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award, the Global Down Syndrome Foundation’s highest honor, at the organization’s 2026 Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show.
The event takes place Saturday, November 7, at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel and is billed by GLOBAL as the largest Down syndrome fundraiser in the world.
Garcia will receive the honor alongside Emmy Award-winning journalist and television personality Maria Menounos. The star-studded event will also include Academy Award-winning actress and disability inclusion advocate Geena Davis, Jessica Biel and other celebrity supporters.
For Days fans, Garcia’s recognition is especially meaningful because she has already made television history.
Garcia became the first person with Down syndrome to land a recurring role on American daytime television when she joined Days of Our Lives as Felicity Greene in 2024.
But her work in Salem is only one part of an impressive career.
Garcia was discovered by American Girl and became the company's first model with Down syndrome. She later appeared in campaigns for Disney, Instagram and McDonald’s, including McDonald’s 2023 Super Bowl campaign.
Her acting résumé also includes appearances on 9-1-1 and Sesame Street, as well as the award-winning short film Brownies.
Kennedy Garcia's Advocacy Goes Beyond Acting
Garcia has also spent years using her platform to advocate for inclusion, friendship, and authentic representation of people with disabilities.
She serves as an ambassador for Best Buddies International and Breaking the Chains Foundation and has spoken at more than 100 schools and colleges across the country.
Now that work is being recognized with GLOBAL's most prestigious honor.
The Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award is named for the late legendary music producer and longtime GLOBAL supporter. The award recognizes individuals whose advocacy has meaningfully improved the lives of people with Down syndrome.
For Garcia, the honor adds another milestone to a career already filled with groundbreaking firsts.
From becoming American Girl's first model with Down syndrome to making daytime television history on Days of Our Lives, Garcia has continued opening doors while showing audiences why authentic representation matters.
And on November 7, she'll be celebrated for doing exactly that.
