General Hospital fan favorite Kirsten Storms is speaking out once again about the personal circumstances that have dominated headlines in recent months.
Kirsten Storms Addresses Break-In Claims, Future On GH In Emotional Instagram Update
In a detailed Instagram post, Storms responded to online reports about her ex-husband's claims, clarifying that the stories suggesting she only reported an apartment break-in after court filings against her are incorrect. The actress stated that the alleged break-in was reported to both her apartment management and local police before any court actions. She also mentioned that records and evidence would support her account of the events.
Storms noted that she had documented significant damage to her apartment door months before any legal proceedings and had been in communication with building management about the incident and potential security footage. According to the actress, the situation involved someone allegedly entering her residence while she was away for medical appointments in St. Louis.
The actress also opened up about how the ordeal has affected her personally. Storms revealed that moving to Tennessee as a single mother while dealing with a recently discovered brain aneurysm made the situation even more upsetting. She claimed that whoever entered her apartment gained access to her Wi-Fi and cellphone while inside the residence and noted that law enforcement had received evidence related to the matter. Storms thanked fans for their support and encouraging messages, expressing confidence that the situation would ultimately be handled appropriately.
What Does This Mean for General Hospital?
Perhaps the biggest takeaway for soap fans came at the end of her statement.
Storms admitted she is uncertain about returning to Los Angeles and resuming work on General Hospital, describing the experience as an eye-opening look at the downside of being a public figure. However, she stopped short of announcing any plans to leave the soap permanently.
The actress had earlier taken a temporary break from the ABC daytime drama to move to Tennessee with her daughter, Harper. She also disclosed that she had been keeping an eye on a brain aneurysm found during follow-up medical scans after her surgery for a brain cyst in 2021.
For now, Storms says her daughter remains her top priority, leaving fans wondering what the future holds for Maxie Jones in Port Charles.
