General Hospital star Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) took to Instagram to share an emotional and empowering message with fans about her ongoing health journey and mental resilience. The beloved actress revealed that after a scary medical experience involving an aneurysm, she’s learning to focus on gratitude, self-care, and creativity — even while battling moments when her “brain seems to be sorta lowkey rebelling.”

Kirsten candidly addressed the false rumors that circulated after her hospital stay earlier this year, clarifying that some online speculation was both hurtful and completely unfounded. “A few days after I was discharged from the hospital,” she shared, “someone created a blog post that said I was there because I tried to ‘unalive’ myself.’ I couldn’t understand why a person would make up something that terrible when they had no idea why I was really there.”

While acknowledging that “there are a few bad apples out there,” Kirsten shifted her focus to the positive people in her life — especially her longtime friend and former GH co-star Emme Rylan (ex-Lulu Spencer). The two recently spent time together crocheting, something Kirsten described as “glorious” and good for the mind and spirit.

In a follow-up post, Kirsten opened up about how their new sweater collaboration came to life — a cozy and creative project that celebrates friendship and fun. “The idea to collaborate on a sweater collection manifested so naturally,” she explained. “We were each making sweater pieces and kind of just started putting our own pieces together like a puzzle. The first sweater we made together blew our minds. We knew we had to expand on our love for these cardigans and share them with you guys.”

Each design, she emphasized, is “a joint project that we work on together — while we’re just KickinIt.” The collection, affectionately tied to SweaterWeather, showcases the duo’s artistic chemistry and genuine bond beyond the soap world.

Kirsten’s message ultimately radiated hope and gratitude — a reminder that healing comes in many forms, whether through art, friendship, or simply taking things one day at a time. Fans flooded her comments with heartfelt messages of love and encouragement, praising her honesty, humor, and strength.
