Melissa Claire Egan Wants a Reunion With Cameron Mathison!
During an exclusive interview with Parade on the red carpet at the 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, Egan was asked which former co-star she'd most like to reunite with. She didn't hesitate. Cameron Mathison!
Mathison, who currently plays Drew Cain on General Hospital, portrayed Ryan Lavery opposite Egan's Annie Novak on All My Children.
The two shared plenty of romance, heartbreak, and drama during their Pine Valley days, but their friendship continued long after the cameras stopped rolling.
Egan told Parade: "He was my first TV husband on All My Children 20 years ago, and I love him, and he's one of my besties."
How sweet is that?
Egan also admitted that she hasn't had the chance to catch up with Mathison lately, affectionately referring to her longtime friend as "Cammy."
Remember Annie and Ryan?
If you watched All My Children back in the day, you probably remember just how complicated Annie and Ryan's relationship became!
Egan joined the ABC soap in 2006 as Annie Novak, and her character quickly became part of some unforgettable Pine Valley storylines.
Annie's relationship with Ryan was anything but smooth sailing. Between their troubled marriage, Annie's increasingly unpredictable behavior, and all the Chandler family drama, there was never a dull moment.
After leaving Pine Valley, Egan joined The Young and the Restless in 2011 as Chelsea Lawson, while Mathison eventually landed on General Hospital.
Could the All My Children Revival Make It Happen?
Here's where things get interesting! Former All My Children stars Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are developing two continuation movies for Lifetime.
With scripts already written, fans are hoping some familiar Pine Valley faces will return. Could Annie Novak and Ryan Lavery be among them?
Nothing has been confirmed regarding Egan or Mathison participating, but wouldn't it be fun to see these two sharing scenes again?
Whether it's a return to Pine Valley or another soap opera reunion, Egan has made it clear that Mathison is someone she'd love to reconnect with.
