Michelle Stafford (The Young and the Restless) took to Instagram to share photos and heartfelt words about the annual pre-Emmy luncheon, a celebration of the Lead and Supporting Actress nominees. The gathering, held at Ciccone’s, continues a legacy started by the great Susan Flannery (The Bold and the Beautiful), who began the tradition years ago to honor women in daytime television.

“The ladies who lunch❤️ Carrying on this tradition that was started by the great Susan Flannery 👊🏼 This year we celebrated the Lead and Supporting Actresses,” Stafford wrote. “The gals who you don’t see in this picture @nancyleegrahn @welcometolaurasworld @katemansi @sharonlcase @emroya @ohmygodfrey were not able to come 😔 We missed you gorgeous ladies!! ❤️ This was a beautiful time! I love these women… Pinky swears were made!!”

Joining Stafford were Eileen Davidson, Courtney Hope, Susan Walters, and Melissa Claire Egan, who all took to social media to share the joy of the special day.

Courtney Hope wrote, “Another wonderful ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ Emmy tradition in the books! Celebrating the Lead and Supporting actress nominees❤️🥰 Pinky swears and memories were made 🫶🏼! Love these women and honored to be standing alongside them!”

Susan Walters added her gratitude, saying, “Thank you, @therealstafford, for hosting such a special lunch celebrating the @daytimeemmyawardslive best actress and supporting actress nominees. 🙏🏼💗 Sorry to miss those that couldn’t be there… but excited to see you Friday!!”

Melissa Claire Egan echoed the love, posting, “What a day! LOVED celebrating the Lead & Supporting Actress Emmy nominations alongside this incredible group of women and friends. Stories were told, pinky promises were made (even our waiter got in on it), and many laughs were had.”

And Eileen Davidson summed up the spirit of the gathering perfectly: “Emmy noms ladies luncheon with a few of the very best! Love you chicks! STORIES and pinky promises! Thanks @therealstafford for the best time!”
