Performer of the Week: Daphnée Duplaix

This week, Daphnée Duplaix delivered a powerful and deeply moving performance as Nicole Richardson on Beyond The Gates

Performer of the Week: Daphnée Duplaix

From the moment she stepped into the room with her son Martin (Brandon Claybon), you could feel every bit of her heartache, worry, and hope as a mother trying to guide her son back from the edge.

Nicole urged Martin to open up, and when he did, it was raw, vulnerable, and honest. Martin admitted he’d lost his power and had been letting others call the shots. Nicole didn’t just listen, she challenged him, comforted him, and reminded him of his worth.

Additionally, Nicole’s emotional conversation with Smitty (Mike Manning) was equally gripping. She defended her son’s choices while acknowledging the pain his silence caused. Daphnée brought grace, passion, and nuance to every word, especially when Nicole said Martin is already paying for the lies.

Whether she was calming Martin with breathing techniques or convincing Smitty to give healing a chance, Duplaix showed us a woman carrying the weight of two families on her shoulders. This performance was full of depth, strength, and soul.

Bravo to Daphnée Duplaix, a true standout this week!
