According to TVInsider, the Young and the Restless alum will debut as Michael on Friday, May 23rd.
The character of Michael Corinthos has been portrayed by Chad Duell since 2010. Duell recently announced via Instagram that he would be stepping away from the role to focus on his family, with his official departure scheduled for November 2024. His final episode aired in January 2025.
Rory Gibson is no stranger to daytime drama. He made a name for himself as Noah Newman on CBS’s The Young and the Restless from 2021 to 2023, earning praise for his compelling performances.
As Rory takes on the complex role of Michael, fans are eager to see how he will make the character his own in the evolving storyline of General Hospital. This recast marks a new chapter for one of ABC’s most enduring soaps.
