Steffy still believes that Luna (Lisa Yamada) is dead after Liam’s (Scott Clifton) shocking decision to pull the trigger. What she doesn’t know is that thanks to Dr. Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda), Luna miraculously survived. Li’s secret could blow the roof off once Steffy learns the truth.

However, that's not the only deception ready to unfold. Steffy also thought Liam was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor — a heartbreaking revelation by Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) that left her devastated, but it was all a sinister plot! Bill (Don Diamont) transferred $1 million to Grace, who convinced him that his son, Liam, had a terminal brain tumor. Grace used the money to settle the gambling debts of her ex-husband, Reese, whose creditors were threatening her daughters. 

Meanwhile, the dynamics within Steffy's family have shifted entirely. Before her departure, Taylor (Rebecca Budig) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) were engaged and envisioning a future together. However, after Eric (John McCook) persistently advocated that Ridge's rightful place was with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Ridge broke off his engagement with Taylor and remarried Brooke. Steffy has consistently held Brooke responsible for the fractured family she experienced growing up, making her father's recent decision likely to be particularly painful for her.
