Steve Burton and Wife Michelle Reveal Their Emotional Smile Transformations
For General Hospital star Steve Burton and his wife, Michelle Lynn Burton, a recent trip to Salt Lake City turned into something much more meaningful than a cosmetic makeover. The couple underwent smile transformations together, but for Michelle, the experience brought healing from decades of insecurity and dental anxiety.

Michelle recently opened up on Instagram about a childhood accident that changed how she felt about her smile for more than 30 years.
She recalled being around 10 years old when she slipped on a staircase at a hotel in Allentown, Pennsylvania, while attending her mother's horse show. The fall broke one of her front teeth in half, leaving her with limited dental treatment options.
At the time, bonding was the only realistic solution, but Michelle said the results left her feeling extremely self-conscious. She became so uncomfortable with her appearance that she stopped smiling openly and learned to keep her lips closed in photographs.
When she was 19, Michelle finally had her teeth repaired. Unfortunately, what should have been a happy experience became another painful memory. She described the dentist as impatient and unkind and said the quality of his work left her disappointed. The experience also created dental anxiety that followed her for years.
An Unexpected Inspiration From a Beverly Hills 90210 Star
More than two decades later, Michelle came across an Instagram video featuring Beverly Hills, 90210 actor Ian Ziering showing off his new smile.
The transformation, performed by Dr. Jordan Davis, immediately caught her attention. Beyond the beautiful results, Michelle was impressed by how calm and reassuring the dentist appeared.
She shared the video with her husband, Steve Burton, who plays Jason Morgan on General Hospital. Steve was also interested in improving his smile.
After two FaceTime consultations, the couple traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah, to undergo their procedures.
Steve went first, something Michelle jokingly admitted helped calm her nerves. His transformation involved composite dental work without filing down his natural teeth.
Seeing her husband's results gave Michelle the confidence to move forward with her own treatment.

Michelle's procedure was more extensive. Her existing dental work had to be removed and replaced with porcelain veneers. She also underwent gum work to create a more balanced smile.
After spending so many years feeling uncomfortable about her teeth, Michelle wasn't prepared for the emotions that came with seeing her new smile for the first time.
She admitted that the results were more beautiful than she imagined and that the experience was deeply emotional.
Both Michelle and Steve expressed their gratitude to Dr. Davis and the team at Luca Aesthetic for helping them achieve their new smiles.
But Michelle made it clear that the experience was about much more than cosmetic dentistry.
"We loved getting to do this together," she wrote, adding that sometimes it's about much more than teeth and about "feeling like yourself again."
For Michelle, the transformation represents a new chapter after years of hiding her smile. And having Steve by her side made the experience even more special.
