Daytime television legend Susan Lucci is heading to the world of streaming in a major new role — and it is already turning heads. The All My Children icon has joined the cast of Apple’s upcoming dark comedy Outcome, where she will play the mother of Keanu Reeves’ character.

The film centers on Reef Hawk, played by Reeves, a beloved Hollywood star whose carefully crafted public image is suddenly threatened when he is extorted with a mysterious video that could destroy both his reputation and career. Forced to confront the secrets and demons he has kept buried, Reef begins a deeply personal journey to uncover the truth and identify the person behind the blackmail.
Helping him navigate the fallout are his lifelong best friends, Kyle and Xander, played by Cameron Diaz and Matt Bomer, along with his crisis lawyer, Ira, portrayed by Jonah Hill. As Reef retraces his past in search of answers, he is pushed toward a reckoning that is equal parts chaotic, nostalgic, eye-opening, and spiritually cleansing.
Co-written and directed by Hill, Outcome promises a darkly funny yet emotionally layered story about fame, regret, and redemption. Reef’s search for the blackmailer becomes more than just a mission to save his career — it becomes an opportunity to make amends with the people he may have wronged along the way.
Alongside Reeves, Diaz, Bomer, and Hill, the ensemble cast includes Martin Scorsese, Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Atsuko Okatsuka, Roy Wood Jr., Kaia Gerber, Ivy Wolk, and more.
Written by Hill and Ezra Woods, Outcome comes from Apple Studios. The film is produced by Matt Dines, Alison Goodwin, and Hill under the Strong Baby banner, with Adam Merims serving as executive producer.
