The beloved soap star, known for her memorable roles on General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, and All My Children, appeared in her first episode as Sienna Bacall on October 14, 2025 — and she’s opening up about what this new chapter means to her.
In a new behind-the-scenes interview, Braun shared her excitement about joining the long-running CBS soap — and revealed that her connection to the show runs deeper than fans may realize.
“It’s super cool to be part of a show that has its roots in Chicago,” Tamara said, referencing Y&R’s early beginnings under the Bell family, who launched the soap in the Midwest before taking Hollywood by storm.
Born and raised in Chicago, Braun reflected on how her hometown shaped her as both a person and a performer.
“Chicago is where I realized that I wanted to act. It’s where I found my passion for it — where I first studied,” she explained. “There are so many talented people that come out of Chicago, and even though it’s a big city, it still has those Midwest values — family, community, loving your neighbor.”
Braun went on to praise Y&R’s Chicago roots and how the show’s legacy mirrors her own artistic journey.
“Everybody who isn’t from L.A. dreams of going to Hollywood and making something happen. The Bells created something incredible from that base, from that dream — and to now be a part of it, as someone from Chicago myself, it feels really special.”
Tamara concluded by saying the opportunity feels “like a real full-circle moment.”
