Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) overhears Amanda's (Mishael Morgan) private conversation with Dumas at Crimson Lights. Despite Amanda advising against it, Phyllis reveals her suspicion that Dumas is planning a hostile takeover of "Chancellor" and expresses her desire to lead the effort if it moves forward.
Later in the show, Amanda declined to engage in espionage, expressing to Phyllis her satisfaction with her current path. Meanwhile, Sally (Courtney Hope) and Billy (Jason Thompson) overheard Phyllis discussing her "big comeback," leading to a heated, sassy exchange between Sally and Phyllis, though it remained non-physical.
Billy and Sally went for a jog, using the time to bond over work and their mutual caution towards Phyllis. Sally is well aware that her redheaded competitor is always ready to stir up trouble.
Claire (Hailey Erin) and Kyle's (Michael Mealor) lunch at the GCAC took an unexpected turn when Kyle left Claire to meet Audra (Zulekya Silver) for a mysterious proposal, leaving Claire displeased.
Audra suggested a "publicity war" to Kyle, involving leaked memos, viral stunts, and a hint of chemistry between her company and Jabot. Kyle appeared interested. Meanwhile, Holden (Nathan Owens) was upstairs creating discord with Claire, questioning her loyalty to Kyle amid Newman-Abbott family tensions.
