Victor begins questioning Nick’s recent choices as concerns surrounding his recovery continue to grow. With Nick becoming more deeply entangled in the Matt Clark chaos and Phyllis Summers’ legal problems, Victor fears his son may be heading down a dangerous path. Nick believes he can control the situation, but Victor isn’t convinced.
Meanwhile, Adam and Chelsea strategize against a rival as they attempt to stay one step ahead of the growing drama. Although Chelsea wants to focus on protecting Nick and getting Matt Clark off the streets, Adam remains equally determined to reclaim Newman Enterprises and protect the family legacy.
Elsewhere, Sharon gives Phyllis unsolicited advice regarding her involvement with Matt Clark. Sharon believes Phyllis is playing a dangerous game and warns her that things could quickly spiral beyond her control. However, Phyllis refuses to back down and blames Victor for forcing her into an impossible position. Given Sharon and Phyllis’ complicated history, the conversation quickly turns tense.
