Wednesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless turns up the tension as Victor Newman launches a full-scale hunt for Matt Clark while growing concerns about Nick Newman’s recovery threaten to explode.

After losing faith in the police investigation, Victor decides to take matters into his own hands and gathers his team together for an urgent mission. Victor is determined to track down Matt Clark before he causes even more chaos for the Newman family. Although Matt insists he’s suffering from amnesia, Victor isn’t convinced the story can be trusted. None of the Newmans are willing to let their guard down, especially knowing Matt’s memories could return at any moment.

Complicating matters even more is Matt’s growing connection to Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). Considering Patty’s long history of instability and manipulation, the possibility of her teaming up with Matt could spell serious trouble for Genoa City. If those two join forces, disaster may not be far behind.

Meanwhile, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) becomes increasingly alarmed by Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) recent behavior. Adam can’t shake the feeling that his brother is hiding something, and he begins to suspect Nick may be using drugs again. Once Nick notices Adam’s concern, tensions rise between the brothers. Adam finally confronts Nick directly and asks the question no one wants to hear: has he relapsed? Although Adam genuinely wants to help, Nick may not be ready to admit the truth — even to his own family.

Elsewhere, Devon Winters (Bryton James) starts sounding the alarm over Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and her growing feelings for Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). It’s becoming obvious to Devon that Lily is falling for Cane all over again, and he fears she’s setting herself up for heartbreak and disappointment. Still, Lily is determined to follow her heart despite Devon’s concerns.
