At Newman Media, Victor praises Adam for enhancing Nikki's reputation at Chancellor but is displeased by the absence of negative press on Billy. Adam argues that targeting Billy later will be more effective and prefers Nikki to remain independent, frustrating Victor, who wants to tarnish Billy's reputation and secure Aristotle Dumas as an ally against Jack Abbott.
Chelsea seeks Nikki's advice on how to prevent Victor from going after Billy. Nikki acknowledges the difficulty but proposes a strategy. Upon overhearing Victor's plan to attack Billy through the media the following day, Chelsea swiftly intervenes by arranging a private meeting with Victor at Crimson Lights in an hour. Adam questions why she is so protective of Billy, implying that Chelsea might still have feelings for him. Chelsea insists she doesn't. When Adam inquires about what she's offering Victor, Chelsea confidently reveals:
“I’ve figured out who Aristotle Dumas really is.”
At the GCAC, Sally expresses her enthusiasm to Billy about their upcoming trip to Nice. However, the atmosphere changes when Billy reveals his doubts about Dumas’ true intentions, suspecting a scheme involving Victor.
Sally begins to worry, fearing entanglement in a Newman conflict. Although Billy attempts to reassure her that they will remain uninvolved, Sally remains uncertain.
