Poor Traci just can't catch a break. With Patty back in town stirring up trouble for the Abbott family, Traci is already on edge. But things get even worse after she runs into Dr. Markham (Jere Burns).
Traci's Worst Nightmare May Be Coming True!
According to Traci, looking at him was "like looking into the face of evil."
Kyle immediately knows why. Seeing Dr. Markham brings back painful memories of Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins), the twisted identical twin who impersonated Dr. Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) and tricked Traci into believing she was engaged to the wrong brother. Martin later kidnapped Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) as part of his disturbing psychological experiment, leaving emotional scars that Traci still carries today.
Now Traci is convinced history could be repeating itself. She wants Kyle to go straight to Dr. Markham's house because she's tired of waiting for someone else to get hurt. Kyle tries to slow her down, but Traci isn't interested in sitting on the sidelines anymore.
Then Traci makes a heartbreaking confession. She admits she's had dreams about strangling Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). In those dreams, she always stops before actually hurting her, making Traci wonder if she's a coward. Kyle quickly reminds her that she's nothing like Patty, and that's exactly why she can't go through with it.
The conversation takes another emotional turn when Kyle tells Traci that he and Harrison found an old recording of Colleen Carlton (Tammin Sursok) singing in the attic. The memory instantly brings Traci to tears as she admits how much she misses her beloved daughter. As for Diane, Kyle fears the worst.
He explains that Dr. Markham suddenly changed their plans and wants him to come over with police serving a search warrant. Kyle worries Diane has already been moved before anyone can reach her. Even so, Traci refuses to back down. She believes Jack is in danger and insists Dr. Markham can't be trusted. Kyle convinces her to wait one more hour before calling in the police if they still haven't heard from Jack.
Is Traci letting old trauma influence her judgment... or is she the only one who sees the danger before everyone else?
