Congratulations to Hunter King! The former The Young and the Restless star has officially tied the knot — and the celebration was as unique as it was romantic.

King, best known to daytime fans for her role as Summer Newman, took to Instagram on March 6 to share the exciting news that she and her husband said “I do” on Valentine’s Day during a whimsical medieval-themed ceremony.

In the caption of her post, the actress joked about the fairytale-like event, writing:

“Long ago, (on Valentine’s Day) we said I do in front of the realm (our families). We celebrated (at Medieval Times) well into the night (9pm).”

The couple’s love story began in 2022 when King starred in the independent film Give Me Your Eyes. Her future husband worked behind the scenes as the film’s first assistant director, and the two soon formed a connection. About a year later, their relationship officially turned romantic.

According to Just Jared, the couple’s Medieval Times–themed ceremony took place on February 14 at Same Day Marriage in Studio City, California. The intimate ceremony included only 18 guests, all immediate family members, making the celebration small but meaningful.

After exchanging vows, the newlyweds continued the festivities with a celebration at a tiki bar in Burbank before heading to Medieval Times to fully embrace the theme of the evening.

While the Valentine’s Day ceremony made their marriage official, the couple is not done celebrating yet. They are reportedly planning a larger destination wedding in Tuscany, Italy in June 2026, where friends and extended family will be able to join the festivities.

King became a fan favorite during her decade-long run on The Young and the Restless, portraying Summer Newman from 2012 to 2022. During her time on the CBS soap, she earned two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series.

Although she has since moved on to new acting opportunities, King remains a beloved figure in the soap opera community. Fans were thrilled to see her share such a joyful milestone and quickly filled the comments of her post with congratulations and well-wishes.

As King begins this exciting new chapter, the daytime world is sending its love to the happy couple.
