Actress Jade Harlow has joined the CBS soap in the recurring role of Marie Kirkland, a woman with a complicated past who arrives in Genoa City hoping for a fresh start. As soap viewers know, fresh starts rarely stay simple, making Marie's debut one to watch.
Harlow is no stranger to daytime television. She made her daytime debut in 2000 when she stepped into the role of Jessica Bennett on Passions, replacing Mary Elizabeth Winstead. She remained with the NBC soap until 2003, becoming a familiar face to viewers during her three-year run.
She later appeared on Days of Our Lives in 2014 as Sheryl Connors, a short-term love interest for Lucas Horton (Bryan R. Dattilo).
Outside the broadcast soap world, Harlow earned widespread acclaim for her performance as Lianna Ramos on the streaming drama The Bay, where she starred from 2010 through 2020. Her work brought her multiple Daytime Emmy Award nominations, including a win for Outstanding Supporting or Guest Actress in a Digital Daytime Drama Series in 2017. In 2020, she added another Emmy to her collection by winning Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress in a Digital Drama Series.
Now, Harlow is bringing her talents to Genoa City, where her mysterious new character is poised to make an impression.
Viewers won't have to wait much longer to meet Marie Kirkland, as Jade Harlow makes her first appearance on The Young and the Restless on Monday, August 10.
With a mysterious backstory and an accomplished actress in the role, Marie's arrival could shake up several lives in Genoa City.
