At Crimson Lights, Phyllis is on the patio, typing intensely on her laptop. "Focus on yourself, protect yourself," she murmurs, clearly determined. Esther (Kate Linder) approaches with her usual friendliness and suggests another cappuccino, curiously inquiring about what Phyllis is doing.

Phyllis responds calmly:

“I’m securing my future,”

Esther says it's a fantastic idea, particularly since she's been unemployed for some time. She asks:

"What happened to your work with Billy or Cane?"

Phyllis smirks:

“Working for myself is a better option.”

Esther wishes her luck and leaves for her own date, while Phyllis sips her coffee and unleashes her inner schemer. “Billy (Jason Thompson) is a disaster, and Cane (Billy Flynn) is a flake,” she scoffs. “I can only count on myself.”
