Claire Packs to Leave — Holden Arrives With a Secret

In her Los Angeles hotel room, Claire is packing her bags while reminiscing about her passionate night with Holden. Just as she is about to move on, a knock at the door interrupts her thoughts — it's Holden.

She jokingly calls him a “five-star tour guide,” but insists she must return to Genoa City. Holden stops her, his tone turning serious. He confesses there’s something she needs to know — something from his past involving Audra Charles.

They sit down, and Holden begins to share his story, revealing a much darker side of Audra.

🍾 Flashback: The Shadow Lounge and “The Artist and Her Patron”

Holden reminisces about his time bartending at The Shadow Lounge years ago, where he frequently served artists and affluent customers. One evening, Audra — known then as Audra Cortez — arrived with a man who ordered champagne and toasted “The Artist and Her Patron.”

The situation turned sour when the man attempted to push more drinks onto Audra, clearly trying to intoxicate her. Holden stepped in and ejected the man. However, just when he believed the issue was resolved, Audra surprised him by stealing the man’s wallet as she left.

💸 The $500,000 Scandal

The following day, Audra returned in a state of panic. She pleaded with Holden to cover for her by handing over the wallet and claiming he found it at the bar.

When the man returned, Holden gave back the wallet, but it quickly became clear that a $500,000 cashier’s check made out to “CASH” was missing. The man accused both Holden and Audra of stealing it.

Holden's boss, Mitch Bacall (Roger Howarth), intervened to defend him but cautioned that Audra would face repercussions. However, Audra left town before anyone could locate her. Holden later discovered she had reappeared in London — and now in Genoa City, under a new name: Audra Charles.

💬 Claire Pushes for the Truth

Claire urges Holden to provide more information—did Audra ever confess to taking the check? Holden isn't certain, but he notes that Audra later sent him $100,000 as an enigmatic "thank you." He accepted the money, implying that if Audra gets implicated, he will too.

Claire inquires about the man Audra stole from, wondering whether he might own an art gallery. Holden declines, suggesting she intends to use the information as leverage against Audra—an idea that amuses Claire, but clearly leaves an impression.

⚠️ Fallout Coming for Audra and Holden

Holden's admission leaves Claire in shock. His straightforwardness might either bring them closer together or place them both in Audra's sights. With secrets, stolen funds, and dubious partnerships intertwined, this disclosure could lead to explosive outcomes when it hits Genoa City.
