Y&R Wild Speculation: Will Jack Betray Billy and Accept Lily’s Chancellor Deal?

Lily Winters may have discovered the only way to stop Billy Abbott’s Chancellor takeover—but accepting her proposal could cost Jack Abbott his relationship with his brother.

Y&R Wild Speculation: Will Jack Betray Billy and Accept Lily’s Chancellor Deal?

After reviewing John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) financial records, Jack confirmed that a large transaction occurred around the time the Chancellor agreement was signed. However, he found no evidence that Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) ever repaid the loan.

Although Jack admitted that proof of repayment could still surface, the discovery seemingly strengthens Billy’s claim to Chancellor Industries. Lily, however, isn’t prepared to watch Billy take control of Katherine’s legacy without putting up a fight.

Y&R Wild Speculation: Will Jack Betray Billy and Accept Lily’s Chancellor Deal?

Lily Offers Jack a Compromise

Lily urged Jack to step in and control Billy before the situation spins completely out of control. Jack insisted that nothing could stop his brother from pursuing Chancellor, prompting Lily to propose a deal.

She offered to repay John’s loan—with interest—and close the contract immediately.

Lily argued that the original loan was nowhere near Chancellor Industries’ current value. In her opinion, forcing the transfer of the entire company wouldn’t honor John and Katherine’s friendship. Paying the debt fairly would be a much more appropriate resolution.

However, Lily also planted a troubling seed in Jack’s mind. Even if Billy discovers evidence that Katherine repaid the loan, would he reveal it? Or would Billy bury the proof to protect his dream of running Chancellor?

Will Jack Make the Deal Behind Billy’s Back?

Our wild speculation is that Jack could accept Lily’s repayment offer without Billy’s approval. Jack may convince himself that ending the fight is the only way to stop Billy from spiraling into another destructive obsession.

Jack has already admitted that his family matters more to him than any company. If he believes Billy’s pursuit of Chancellor is damaging the entire Abbott family, he could decide that accepting Lily’s compromise is the responsible choice. Billy, however, won’t see Jack’s decision as protection—he’ll see it as the ultimate betrayal.

Jack’s Choice Could Ignite an Abbott Family War

If Jack signs away the Abbotts’ claim to Chancellor, Billy could accuse his brother of stealing his future and choosing Lily over him. Billy already resents Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) for standing in his way, so another betrayal from someone he loves could push him over the edge.

Jack fears that Billy could cut him out of his life completely, and that concern may be justified.

The deal could end the corporate war over Chancellor Industries, but it might ignite an explosive Abbott family feud instead. Billy could become even more determined to take control, challenge Jack’s authority at Jabot, or search for another way to destroy Lily’s position.

Jack must now decide whether protecting Billy means supporting his dream—or stopping him before his obsession costs him everything.

Will Jack accept Lily’s offer behind Billy’s back? Would Billy ever forgive his brother for giving up Chancellor Industries? Let us know what you think!
